A Flange Type Expanding Shaft is an internal workholding device used to clamp components from the inside diameter (ID). The flange mounting provides rigid axial positioning and easy installation on machines like CNC lathes, VMCs, grinding machines, and special purpose machines (SPMs).
When actuated (manual, pneumatic, or hydraulic), the expanding segments uniformly expand to grip the bore, ensuring excellent concentricity and repeatable accuracy.
