An HMC MT Sleeve (Morse Taper Sleeve) is a precision taper adapter used in Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) to adapt different Morse Taper (MT) sizes between the machine spindle and cutting tools.
It allows safe and accurate use of smaller or larger MT shank tools without changing the spindle, ensuring proper alignment, rigidity, and machining accuracy.
HMC MT sleeves are essential accessories for tool flexibility, cost savings, and precision machining.
Applications
HMC MT Sleeves are widely used in:
- Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC)
- CNC Milling & Drilling Machines
- Boring & Reaming Operations
- Toolrooms & Production Machining
- Automotive & Engineering Industries
- Heavy-duty drilling and tapping jobs
Key Features
- ✔ High-precision Morse taper geometry
- ✔ Excellent concentricity & alignment
- ✔ Hardened & precision-ground tapers
- ✔ Strong tool holding and torque transmission
- ✔ Easy tool change and versatility
- ✔ Long service life with wear resistance
- ✔ Suitable for high-load machining
Working Principle
The MT sleeve fits into the HMC spindle taper, while the cutting tool with a different MT shank fits inside the sleeve.
The precise taper contact ensures self-locking fit, accurate centering, and vibration-free machining.
