A Rubber Bush Collet is a special soft-clamping collet designed to hold delicate, polished, thin-wall, or finished components without scratching or deforming them.
Instead of direct metal-to-metal contact, a rubber bush insert grips the component, providing uniform pressure, vibration absorption, and damage-free clamping.
This makes rubber bush collets ideal for components where surface finish, roundness, or cosmetic quality is critical.
Applications
Rubber Bush Collets are commonly used in:
- CNC turning of finished or polished parts
- Thin-wall tubes, sleeves & rings
- Aluminum, brass & soft alloy components
- Plastic, rubber & composite parts
- Secondary machining & finishing operations
- Grinding, inspection & assembly setups
- Light machining with vibration sensitivity
Key Features
- ✔ Non-marking & scratch-free clamping
- ✔ Uniform 360° gripping pressure
- ✔ Excellent vibration damping
- ✔ Prevents deformation of thin-wall parts
- ✔ Improves surface finish quality
- ✔ Replaceable rubber bush (cost-effective)
- ✔ Custom sizes as per component OD
Working Principle
The collet body clamps mechanically, pneumatically, or hydraulically.
The rubber bush acts as a flexible interface between the collet and the component, spreading the clamping force evenly and protecting the component surface during machining or handling.
